Help our children

Help our children

A TEAM from Paarl will join teams from all over the world for a “virtual” MannaWalk, an annual fundraiser that raises awareness and funds to help distribute glyconutrients to children.

MannaRelief maintains two programmes - MannaHope and MannaBlessing - to bring improved quality of life and health to the world’s neediest children: orphans, children with disabilities and children with life-threatening illnesses.

Experts agree that proper nutrition can support the body’s ability to defend against disease and illness.

With direct access to world-changing glyconutritional technology, the founders of MannaRelief commit to providing advanced nutritional products to the world’s future - its children.

Founded in 1999, MannaRelief is a not-for-profit organisation that supplies essential nutrition to orphans and children with critical health needs.

Each child who participates in the MannaRelief programme is provided with nutritional support designed to optimise health and wellness.

The all-natural food supplements are a highly concentrated and advanced combination of glyconutrients and other micronutrients that are essential for optimal growth and development.

These high-quality food supplements (which include vitamins and minerals, vine-ripened fruit and vegetable extracts) have demonstrated an ability to improve the quality of life for children, including those who are malnourished and those who are health challenged.

MannaWalk takes place worldwide from Saturday 5 August to 5 October.

It can take the form of a car wash, bake sale, have an actual walk, or do a virtual walk where people from around the world donate.

“We want to support and provide products to care houses such as Bowy House (Aids children) and Miqlat Mbekweni where 2700 children are fed on a daily basis,” explains Mabel van Schalkwyk of the Paarl team.

At the moment the team members are Mabel van Schalkwyk and her husband, Francois, Santie Kinnear, Judith Croukamp, Frik Bosman, Wilhelm and Nicci Nothnagel, Erica Joone and Ronel Richards.

The local effort will be in the form of a virtual walk.

Bowy House received products for six months from MannaRelief Ministries after the Impact Africa Container Launch in May 2006.

The future of the world depends upon the children, yet the children’s future depends upon us, says the website of MannaWalk.

“Tragically, ten million children under the age of six will die this year from preventable diseases.”

Any individual, group, business, church, ministry or civic organisation can sponsor an orphan or orphanage through the MannaBlessing programme.
