Robbed in supermarket

A PAARL woman was robbed inside a busy store at the Paarl Mall on Friday afternoon.
Zindy Visagie was shopping in the frozen food section of Pick ’n Pay, when someone bumped into her.
Three men surrounded her, then suddenly headed for the exit.
“I smelt a rat and when I looked inside my handbag, which had been zipped up, my cellphone had disappeared.”
Visagie reported the theft to the management and identified the men on the video tape covering the entrance.
* On Monday night, a woman who was drawing money at an ATM at a Paarl supermarket, was robbed of R1000 cash.
While Christel Laubscher was drawing money at the Absa ATM at Zomerlust Kwikspar in Main Street, two adult men suddenly bumped into her.
One man grabbed the money coming out of the machine, while another grabbed her bank card, and disappeared.
“I am just thankful that I walked away with my life, as I have read that people are stabbed for a pack of cigarettes.”
