Gunmen attack in Mbekweni

A MAN was killed in Mbekweni in the early hours of Sunday morning, when unknown gunmen fired several shots at him.
Siyabuhlo Mabanyane (20) was walking near the Canwabo Tavern in Phokeng Street when he was struck in the head and back.
The men fled in a white vehicle with a CA registration.
* A woman was robbed at gunpoint of R6000 in her tavern in Silvertown, Mbekweni.
Ruth Kwela was approached by a man who was inquiring about cigarettes and beer.
He suddenly produced a gun and grabbed her and took a bundle of notes which she had in her shirt.
In the scuffle a shot was fired, striking the ground.
Another man ran into the shop and grabbed a jar of money from behind the counter. The two men then fled the scene, also in a white vehicle.
