PAARL will host the Cultivaria festival from from 21 to 25 September - truly a fest for the whole of Drakenstein.
This cultural fest will stage four community shows, made possible by a donation from the Drakenstein Municipality.
The aim is to expose the community to various art forms and to promote the arts in Drakenstein.
On Friday 22 September, the well-known group Mafikizolo will hit the stage at the Mbekweni Rugby Field in Mbekweni.
Together with the vibrant cast of the musical extravaganza, Out of Africa, this will be an event not to be missed. All this for a mere R10 per person.
All tickets can be purchased at Max Supermarket from today. Only 10 000 tickets are available.
There will also be food stalls and drinks, where visitors can quench their thirst before dancing, singing and partying into the night.
The residents in the vicinity of Klein Drakenstein Road, Paarl East, can also look forward to a day full of activities, music and sport on Friday 22 September.
Klein Drakenstein Road will be closed from 12:00 that day and all fun will be free of charge.
The sport liaison officer of the Municipality, Maawyah Moerat, will be organising sports like basket ball and mini soccer.
Look out for Egoli actors like Krynauw, Louwna, Nenna, Bertie and Dez.
That evening there will be a wonderful programme with the well-known group Jamali. They will render favourites like "Yours Fatally", "Secrets" and "You Got Me".
Well-known tenor Kevin Leo, who also takes part in the main Paarl programme, will be there with his unforgettable Sweet Voice Masters.
On Sunday 24 September there will be a Gospel Show at the sports fields in Gouda. The show starts at 15:00 and will be free of charge.

To celebrate heritage day on Monday 25 September, Cultivaria supported by Drakenstein Municipality, will host a variety of mind-blowing shows at the Community Hall in Jan van Riebeeck Road.
