Frank Pietersen gala concert

THE Frank Pietersen Music Centre has become known for its gala concerts every year.
This year Paarl can look forward to an exciting concert on Saturday at 19:30 in the Paarl Town Hall.
Audiences will be treated to hits such as the theme from Mission: Impossible and Pirates of the Caribbean.
The symphony orchestra will be joined by the youth and adult choirs of the centre, as well as the Huguenot Male Choir in the spectacular work “Come Colours Rise”.
Two community groups affiliated with FPMC will be featured. The Mbekweni Black Bafanas is a sought-after traditional male voice choir singing Isicatamiya music (such as Ladysmith Black
Mambazo).
The Royal Stars Christmas Band is a well-known group from Paarl, which receives yearly accolades at the competitions they take part in.
Tickets cost R30 (R10 for scholars) at the centre (872-2123/4).
