Cultivaria: 'n fees vir almal

PAARL will host the Cultivaria festival from 21 to 25 September - truly a fest for the whole of Drakenstein.
This cultural fest will stage a variety of community shows, made possible by a donation from the Drakenstein Municipality. On Friday 22 September the well-known group Mafikizolo will hit the stage at the Boland Cricket Stadium in Paarl.
Together with the vibrant cast of the musical extravaganza, Out of Africa, and the beautiful girls of Jamali, they will render favourites like “Yours Fatally”, “Secrets” and “You Got Me”.
This will be an event not to be missed, all this for R10 per ticket. Tickets can be purchased at Max Supermarket in Mbekweni, Dalvale Service Station, Centre Point Superette, Essops Supermarket, Polarama, Peter’s Cellars and Awé Sports Bar. Only 10 000 tickets are available, due to security reasons. There will also be food stalls and drinks, where visitors can quench their thirst before dancing, singing and partying into the night.
Look out for Egoli actors like Krynauw, Louwna, Nenna, Bertie, Des and Dr Adam.
On Saturday 23 September the programme will start at 14:00 at the Boland Cricket Stadium and will feature an exciting list of artists like the Mighty Joy Singers from Mbekweni, the Lukhanyo Arts Company from Mbekweni, a jazz band, the Wiseman Doctrine reggae group, Christeline Dampies.
The well-known television magician, Wolfgang Riebe, will bring magic to the stage.
Entrance for Saturday is free.
On Sunday 24 September there will be a Gospel Show at the Gouda sportsfields. The show starts at 15:00 and will be free of charge. Among the artists are Trevor Sampson, the Harmonians, the Christian Explainers, Vincent Peter, Phillipean, Chrystal, Donovan Isaacs and Eldon Pieters. No tickets required.
To celebrate heritage day on Monday 25 September, Drakenstein Municipality supported by Cultivaria will host a variety of shows at the Daljosafat Sports Stadium.
Visitors can look forward to the talent of the Royal Stars Christmas Band, the Frank Pietersen Music Centre marimba band, Lukhanyo Cultural Singers from Mbekweni, the Essential Dance Company, ventriloquist Jannie de Bruin, a puppet show, Dennis the Clown, the Wellington Coons, Indian Dance Company, the Afro Jazz Band and to top it off the presence of Egoli stars.
Cultivaria will together with Drakenstein Municipality aim at extending the community program- me in future to include every town in the Drakenstein area.
Furthermore it will be the aim to celebrate all cultures and languages and to make Cultivaria a truly multi-cultural fest.
