Winter warmth and something sweet

THE kids at the Drakenstein Crèche in Paarl were very excited when they received scarves and cookies from the Santé Winelands Hotel and Wellness Centre recently.
Santé forms part of the Fidentia Group, who has formed a social development programme which involves every business unit in the group.
Every month a different theme is given.
Each business unit must participate in the theme and use their own initiative to support and create opportunities for the underprivileged or disabled people in their community.
Staff members are putting all their energy, heart and soul into every project, as was proved by their visit to the Drakenstein Crèche.
With the theme of ‘Give Warmth’ in mind, they decided to knit scarves for the 89 children between the ages of seven months and six years. The chefs added their little bit of magic with specially baked cookies.
