Golf day will help cricket

THE Groot Drakenstein Games Club will host its annual golf day at the Paarl Golf Club on 7 September.
The objective of the day is to raise money for cricket development in the Groot Drakenstein valley. Proceeds will go to promoting and developing cricket using the Groot Drak facilities.
Funds are being raised through the sale of fourballs, various sponsorship opportunities as well as auctions and raffles. The competition format will be a Fourball Alliance Stableford, and for Groot Drak members an Individual Stableford.
The cost of the fourball is R1400 for a team of four players which includes a dinner, green fees, halfway and golf caps for all players.
