Business park develops

THE R20 million redevelopment of the Berg River Textiles site in Dal Josaphat as a business park is progressing well.
To date 6000 square metres have been leased to Plaschem and 1000 to Vinco Steel, with negotiations in progress for a further 11000 square metres.
The total size is 36 000 square metres and will be owner managed by Spearhead Properties, a JSE-listed real estate company.
Leasing to individual tenants is tailor-made with prices from R16 per square metre.
Among the prospective lessees is an indoor sports arena project suitable for action cricket.
There will be an allocation of two parking bays per 100 square meters and units will include showrooms as well as factory space.
In addition, the development will boast top notch security including 24 hour manned security with closed circuit television as well as electric fencing and security patrols.
