Wines score at IWSC

DURING the recent International Wines and Spirits Competition (IWSC) held in London, Schalk Burger Wines entered their whole estate range, Welbedacht, and received an award for every entry.
Above all, the two wines that have created a stir and loyal following in South Africa, the Welbedacht Barrel Fermented Chenin Blanc and Welbedacht Cricket Pitch, were both class winners, scoring above 80 points, while the Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon all received bronze medals.
“This is indeed a great honour for our farm and the Wellington area, to achieve these awards with our first ever release,” says Welbedacht winemaker, Matthew Copeland.
