Greenhouse production course

THE popularity of using greenhouse production for vegetables and herbs is on the increase.
A short course on the basic principles of greenhouse crop production will be presented at Stellenbosch University’s Welgevallen Greenhouse Centre from 3 to 5 October.
The course will be presented by ASNAPP (Agribusiness in Sustainable Natural African Plant Products) in combination with the Department of Agronomy, Stellenbosch University, IASA (Intensive Agriculture South Africa) and specialists in the field of greenhouse production.
Aimed at beginners level, topics include production techniques and systems such as drain-to-waste and re-circulating, seedling production, plant nutrition, climate management guidelines, pest and disease identification and management as well as soil-less production.
