THE Franschhoek wine farm Grande Provence was recently sold by Pam Golding Properties’ Franschhoek Winelands International office for R39,6 million, making it the company’s largest sale for the past financial year.

Pam Golding Properties (the residential company within the global Pam Golding Property group), reports record turnover of R12,9 billion for the financial year ended in February.

Over the past four years, PGP has more than trebled its sales turnover, while unit sales have more than doubled over the same period.

These year end sales reflect an exceptional increase of 36 percent over the previous year’s sales turnover of R9,5 billion, and of note is the fact that total unit sales of 14 931 were 16 percent up over the previous year.

Included are sales of units at new developments launched, to a total value of R2,52 billion (not including re-sales).

Playing a key role in this regard is the company’s specialist Development Division which provides development expertise, advice and facilitation right from the very outset of the project, which far exceeds simply the marketing and selling of such projects.

Commenting on this strong performance, group chief executive Dr Andrew Golding says: “While we have benefited from the exceptionally buoyant trading conditions and growth in the residential property market, we are pleased that our strategy of increasing penetration in the market, coupled with innovative marketing, resulted in increased market share and above average sales and unit growth across all regions.
