Boland pool players perform on cue at SA Champs

SEVEN local players were part of the Central Boland pool team which was victorious at the recent SA National Open Pool Championships in Vanderbijlpark.
The team of Boland Central, which featured Brian Abrahams, Jason Jacobs, Rowan Jantjies (captain), Frankie Lenders and Ashley Paulse all of the Three Rocks Pool Club, won the B-division after beating Mpumalanga 14-7 in the final.
Two more members of Three Rocks, Mervyn Martin and William Martin, represented the province as team manager and referee respectively.
Referee André Viljoen (Strikers Pool Club) and player David Hendricks (Redds Pool Club) were also part of the team who won eight out of its 10 matches. Their success means that the team of Boland Central will be promoted to the A-division of the nationals
next year.
