Simonsvlei fun ride

THE Drakenstein Cycling Club is hosting the Simonsvlei Fun Ride just outside Paarl on 12 November.
Cyclists can choose between a 82km or 32km which will start at 06:30 and 07:15 respectively.
Cyclists doing the long route leave on the R101 towards Paarl and turn left to go past Fairview. Another left turn takes them past Klapmuts, left before Stellenbosch, over Helshoogte and down past Boschendal.
Participants will then turn right and at the T-junction they turn left onto the R312 past the Drakenstein Prison, again left just before Paarl (Arboretum Road) and back to the start via Market Street, Berg River Boulevard and Main Street.
The prize-giving will commence at 11:30.
