Boys' High athletes perform

ELEVEN athletes of Paarl Boys’ High took part at the SACS Spring Athletics meeting last week.
Although the wind was quite strong at times, the athletes did exceptionally well.
Curt Ruiters received a floating trophy at the end of the meeting for the best performance of the evening after winning the u.15 boys 100m in a time of 11,40s. This time rates 970 points on the Absa table.
Other athletes from the school who also performed were: André Pieters (1st u.14 100m 11,90s), Freddie Boonzaaier (1st u.14 sp 12,81m), Lochner Slabbert (1st u.15 1500m 4:46,2), Jacobus du Plessis (1st u.16 100m 11,50s), Matthew van Heerden (1st u.17 100m 11,0s) and André van Rooyen. (2nd u.17 200m 23,90s).
