Wood conservation
2005-05-05
A THREE-DAY course in wood conservation is being presented by restorer Emmeke van der Meulen in association with the Wellington Museum from 25 to 27 May.
For practical reasons it is being held in the Hugenote Memorial Museum in Franschhoek.
The course not only provides the ideal opportunity for practical experience in wood conservation, but also gives an introduction into antique wood furniture.
The first day of the course will focus on prime local examples of Cape Dutch furniture in private, corporate and public collections.
The course is R400 for the three days. For bookings, contact Annie van Rensburg at the Wellingotn Museum at 873-4710.
