Estate planned on Berg River

THE final scoping report detailing the environmental assessment of the proposal to rezone the farms Weltevreden and Jericho in Groot Drakenstein for an agricultural and residential estate with a golf trail, will be available in local libraries from 8 November.
The farms are located on the Berg River at the confluence with the Wemmershoek River with access from the R45. The development will be called Two Rivers.
The final scoping report details the proposal, alternatives assessed, specialist studies to be undertaken and comments received and will be in the Franschhoek, Pniel and Stellenbosch libraries for information purposes.
