Now thát is what I call service
2006-12-14
IN this ever changing world there are still some old-fashioned values in existence.
A few nights ago, being my husband’s birthday, we decided to order take-away pizzas as we had had a few celebratory drinks and did not want to drive into Paarl from Klapmuts.
I phoned two delivery places who were not prepared to deliver.
Feeling a little frustrated - and by now mighty hungry, I phoned Chello’s. I was put through to a charming lady by the name of Lizzy and explained my predicament.
She said that they would be more than happy to help me (although I would have to pay R20 for delivery - at this stage I would happily have paid R50!).
As we are a farm a little off the beaten track, we arranged to meet the driver at the Caltex Garage in Klapmuts.
We soon had a phone call from James, the very pleasant driver to say that he was there. We ended up with delicious pizzas and a warm and fuzzy feeling that good service is still around.
Well done to Lizzy and all at Chello’s - and thank you!
