Be safe over Christmas

THE festive season can be a joyous time for many, but if one does’nt look after ones safety, it could turn into a nightmare.
The police would like to warn the public about the following:
* Never carry large sums of money with you.
* Don’t overload yourself with too many parcels and shopping bags. This makes you an easy target for snatch and grab criminals.
* Never allow strangers to help you at ATM’s. Get a bank official to help. Criminals target unsuspecting people at ATM’s.
Any criminal activities can be reported to the various police stations: Paarl (807-4000), Wellington (873-3333), Paarl East (877-5240), Franschhoek (876-8061), Klapmuts (875-5555).
