Exhibition: The Arts Association of Bellville presents the 2007 Krisp Exhibition from 18 to 31 January at the Art Gallery (library). The artists that feature in the exhibition include Colin Strydom, Elmarie Lategan, Anja de Klerk, Lisa Scalabrino, Larita Engelbrecht, Wessel Snyman, Christelle Bester, Kate van Putten, Martin Swart, James Thacker, Maureen Visagie, Karen Kotze and Noleen Read.
Philharmonic concert: The first concert in Cape Philharmonic Orchestra’s Summer season is tonight at the Cape Town city hall. The theme is “Tango Sinfonico” and it includes “Concierto para bandoneon” by Astor Piazzolla and other works by Piazzolla and Hensel. The conductor is the exciting young Israeli conductor and composer Ori Leshman and the soloist is Lothar Hensel (bandoneon) - one of the most sought-after bandoneon soloists in the music world.
