More scorching heat in pipeline

DURING the past week the Paarl Valley has experienced very hot summer temperatures with a scorching high of 41 degrees on Wednesday last week which left residents wilted and packed swimming pools.
Although today will be cooler (27 degrees), with rain expected tonight, the weekend will be very hot, with a high of 38 degrees expected on Sunday and the heatwave continuing for another two days.
The Wemmershoek Dam is approximately 70% full at present (2% less than the same time last year).
