New Pinot Noir launched
2007-02-01
THE award-winning Zorgvliet Wine Estate has released its first Pinot Noir from the Silver Myn range, which is named after the Estate’s nearby Silver Mine. The Silver Myn Pinot Noir 2006 is also a first for the Banghoek Valley.
“This is a wine that is as unique for the variety as the Banhoek Valley from which it originates. Although restrained now, it will certainly reward well with a couple of years of bottle maturation,” affirms Neil Moorhouse, Zorgvliet’s winemaker.
“This wine is 100% Pinot Noir and can be enjoyed now. It will also mature well over the next three to six years, if stored correctly. “It is also an excellent partner with most food as it will not overpower your meal,” concludes the dynamic young winemaker.
All Silver Myn range wines are produced and bottled at the spectacular 300 year-old Zorgvliet Wine Estate that forms part of the Zorgvliet Vineyard Lodge & Spa just five minutes outside Stellenbosch.
