Botanical outing to wine estate

2007-02-08

THE Winelands Branch of the Botanical Society has several outings planned.

The first is on Saturday 17 February, starting at 10:00 at Haut Espoir, Franschhoek.

It entails a talk on Biodiversity in Action by Joan Isham of the Biodiversity and Wine Initiative (BWI), a pioneering partnership between the South African wine industry and the conservation sector.

This is an opportunity to visit a wine estate and learn more about the BWI.

To reach Haut Espoir, turn right at the Huguenot Monument and follow Excelsior Road to the Le Franschhoek Hotel. Continue on the dirt road and the entrance to the farm is on the right, approximately 400m after the entrance to the hotel.

Contact Anne Armstrong at 021-876-4000, anne @hautespoir.co.za for enquiries.

* On Saturday 31 March tehre is a visit to the Tokara Gardens. Book on 083-301-2927.
