DEMOCRACY, what it means and how to practice it, will occupy the time and energy of a team of field workers in Drakenstein for the following few months.
The IEC (Independent Election Commission) contracted them for their Electoral Democratic and Development Education (EDDE) programme in Drakenstein and Malmesbury.
According to co-ordinator Lesley Jacobs, they will conduct workshops and provide information on topics such as voting, ward committees and voter participation.
