First Criterion in Mbekweni

THE Yorkshire Cycling Club is hosting a Criterion cycling race in Mbekweni on Saturday.
It is the first time that such an event will take place in Mbekweni and is part of the club’s development programme for the year.
The race will start and finish at Max Supermarket in Mohajane Street at 14:00. Riders can enter until 13:45.
Riders will be able to compete in all categories - u.10, u.12, u.14, u.16, girls and open (which include seniors, juniors and vets).
There will also be a development race for all beginners (children and adults) in which riders can compete on any bicycle.
“It is the club’s aim to make the sport of cycling accessible for all and as far as possible bring cycling to the community,” said Ian Goetham of Yorkshire. “These development races also help us identify talent.”
