Honk on Track

Honk on Track

2005-03-09

ON 14, 15 and 16 March, Honk, a musical comedy with lively music and dancing, based on Hans Christian Andersen’s, “The Ugly Duckling”, is to be performed by Bridge House College students at the Barnyard Theatre, to celebrate the school’s tenth birthday.

With only two weeks to go, Lizinda Deysel and her cast are not wasting any time in making sure that this Musical, a first for Bridge House College students, is as professional and entertaining as possible.

Her decision not to use backing music but to have ‘live’ musicians has made a lot of work for Musical Director, Rudi Olivier (who only arrived at Bridge House this year) but the Music Department are going all out to do full justice to George Styles’s score.

The Art Department is hard at work making the props and the Computer Department is responsible for the lighting and special effects.

This full involvement of as many pupils and staff as possible is fully in line with the message of the play which is that everyone has worth and that we all have a ‘swan’ within us.

So if you are anxious to discover your inner swan, please join us at the Barnyard and you’ll come home feeling good and clicking your fingers in time to some of the very catchy songs.

Phone Robyn Watkins on 874-1505 to book.
