Centre needs your help
2007-03-15
THE Island of Hope Crisis Centre in Paarl was built by The Rotary Club of Paarl and the Salvation Army is running it with the help of a steering committee.
The centre provides special short-term care for victims, mainly children, brought to the centre by the police or other social organisations following abuse or rape.
The centre is still in dire need of furnishings including cots/camping cots and mattresses, fitted cot sheets and cot comforters, baby blankets, high chairs for babies, pillows, single bed comforters, a double bed and mattress, office chairs, desks, coffee table, steel filing cabinet, cupboard with shelves for office, long steel folding tables, urn kettle and small fridge and freezer.
Please contact Naomi Malinga on 082-408-2409 or Elsabé Koch on 073-301-2425 or drop off the items at the centre at the corner of Breda and New Street.
