Police chief sees killing

A MAN was stabbed to death right in front of the chief of the Mbekweni police recently.
Supt William Dyanti was on duty when he drove along Drommedaris Straat at 01:00 on Saturday night last week.
He noticed two men grappling with each other. As he drew nearer, Dyanti saw one of the men draw a knife and plunge it into the neck of his opponent.
Blood squirted into the air and the man fell backward onto the pavement.
Dyanti jumped from his vehicle and arrested the suspect, Jongikaya Tukani (30) of Mbekweni. Jongani Mveku (31) had been killed instantly.
