Island of Hope needs help

THE Island of Hope Crisis Centre in Paarl was built by the Rotary Club of Paarl and the Salvation Army is running it with the help of a steering committee.
The centre provides special, short-term care for victims, mainly children, of abuse or rape brought to the centre by the police or other social organisations.
The following is a wish list of items The Island of Hope still need: baby cots/camping cots and mattresses; fitted cot sheets; cot comforters; baby blankets; high chairs for babies; 20 pillows; 30 single bed comforters; double bed set or bed & mattress; 3 office chairs; 2 desks; coffee table; steel filing cabinet; cupboard with shelves for office; 4 long steel folding tables; a big urn; a kettle; and a small fridge & freezer.
