Impact of development assessed

A SECURE residential development with a strong agricultural theme (in the form of numerous water ponds, lavender plantings and olive groves) is proposed on part of the farm Fraaigelegen south of Paarl.
The developer, Upstars Trade, has appointed the consultant Strategic Environmental Focus (SEF) as independent environmental consultants to manage the environmental impact assessment of the proposed development.
The draft EIA Report is available at hte Paarl Library for public comment until 21 May.
SEF will compile an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) that will be submitted to the Department of Environmental Affairs.
