Sundowns go down

LOCAL soccer team Mbekweni Sundowns delivered a weak performance in their 3-1 defeat against Knysna’s Black Bafana at the Mbekweni sports grounds on Saturday.
Although Sundowns had several shots at goal, the visitors dominated the first 45 minutes going into half time with a comfortable 2-0 lead.
Both teams managed to score one goal each in the second half, but Sundown’s performance was not nearly good enough to make a comeback.
Bafana’s victory over the weekend was an important one as they almost faced dropping down to the Castle Cup League with Sundowns next season.
* The team of Mbekweni will play their final game this coming Saturday against Mr Price Parkhurst at the Mitchell's Plain sports grounds.
