THE closing date for nominations in the search for South Africa’s most inspiring and outstanding women in 2007 is tomorrow.
So there is not much time left to submit nominations for the nation’s most prestigious award for women.
Each of the seven category winners of the 2007 Shoprite Checkers/SABC 2 Woman of the Year Award will receive R10 000 in prize money, while the overall winner will receive R30 000 in prize money.
While the closing date for entries is tomorrow, the finalists will be announced on Tuesday 3 July and the gala event broadcast at 21:00 on SABC 2 on Thursday 9 August, National Women’s Day.
South Africans are invited to participate in the search by nominating the country’s best in seven categories: business entrepreneurs, health, education, social welfare, arts, culture and communications, sport, and science and technology.
