Prevent polio and measles

Prevent polio and measles

2007-05-03

A NATIONAL immunisation campaign for measles takes place all next week, followed by an anti-polio campaign from 10 to 16 June.

Free treatment will be given by all Drakenstein clinics as well as the Paarl Medi-Clinic (from Saturday).

New born children to the age of five qualify for polio drops, while children from nine months to five years are the target group for immunisation against measles.

Immunisation protects against infectious diseases, curbs the spread of disease in the community, decreases the mortality in children.

Contact your nearest clinic (or phone 021-862-0106/7). For enquiries at Medi/Clinic, contact Sharon Fieties or Annamarie Visser at 021-807-8000.
