FOOD and wine fundi’s are gearing up for Cape Town’s Good Food and Wine Show to be held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) from 24 to 27 May.
The show offers a smorgasbord of gourmet delights, with a chance to clash pots with the best chefs in the business, get shaken and stirred with the country’s leading bartenders or pick up that espresso machine for a bargain.
This year the show sees the launch of the Organic Freedom Project, as well as a Coffee Theatre.
Action chefs this year include ten international stars – all of whom have made it big on BBC food shows – and treble the amount of local heroes.
Watch a cook-off between your favourite celebrity chefs as they create their original masterpieces in only 20 minutes from a mystery basket of goodies.
If you want to improve your cocktail skills you can get some hands-on experience at the Bartender’s Workshop Bar.
At the Eastern Mosaic Theatre cuisine secrets of Japan, India, China and the Middle East will be revealed, and you’ll be able to stock up on all those exotic spices.
Take your kids to the Peter Rabbit Kids Zone and try their delicious range of organic snack foods.
