THE annual Western Cape Provincial Sport Awards were held at the Boland Park cricket grounds on Friday where the top athletes, teams, coaches and administrators were honoured for their efforts during the year.
The late Gerald Lackay from Pniel was recognised at this ceremony for his contribution to the development of sport.
His wife, Joaline Lackay, accepted the award on his behalf.
Local Paarl and Boland cycling coach, Elrick Kulsen, received the award for best coach.
