SHOPPERS will have access to over R17million worth of merchandise when the long-awaited Game opens its doors at 21 Fabriek Street, Paarl, at 08:30 on Wednesday 30 May.
Situated in the central Paarl business district, the 3 923m˛ store will be Game’s 82nd nationwide and the 11th store in the Western Cape region.
Paarl is set to house a wide range of merchandise - from major domestic appliances, high-tech sound and audio equipment to toys, home textiles and sporting goods.
Parking bays for 240 vehicles will be available.
The new store will provide 52 permanent and 80 casual employment opportunities. Many employees have a long-standing history with Game, but a large number come from Paarl.
Store manager Gary Lauf said that he looked forward to welcoming the friendly and warm people of Paarl to the new store. "Customers entering the Paarl store can expect to find a wide range of products and excellent in-store and after-sales service just as they would at any other Game stores nationwide. Prices will also be competitive thanks to our national pricing strategy."
"Paarl residents will now have a Game store on their doorstep," said Jan Potgieter, managing director of Game. "We’ve been delighted by the positive feedback we’ve received from the local community who seem to be as excited about the opening of the store as we are."
