Gold flows from age-old still

THE Laborie winery’s Alambic Brandy, a double distilled potstill brandy, has won a gold medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, one of the world’s most prestigious wine and spirit competitions held annually.
This accolade follows soon after the same brandy won gold and was judged Overall Winner at the China International Wine & Spirits Challenge in late 2006.
The Laborie Alambic Brandy also won awards in 2006 at the International Spirit Challenge and International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC), where it was also the category winner.
This rich and fruity brandy, produced from Chardonnay base wine, was distilled in Laborie’s copper potstill dating from the 18th century.
It underwent at least five years’ barrel maturation in selected small French oak, creating an elegantly styled brandy with a lively copper lustre.
Its elegant packaging matches its style, due to its striking presentation in a German-designed bottle with a metal label.
With rich chocolate aromas and a mellow, nutty, full-bodied flavour, this brandy is intended for the enjoyment of discerning brandy connoisseurs. It is produced in limited quantities and is only available from the winery.
The Laborie Alambic Brandy was first launched in 1997 and each release heralds the culmination of five years of dedication and meticulous care in the production of this quality drink.
