Somalian attacked

A SOMALIAN shopkeeper had a narrow escape in Mbekweni last week, when he was attacked in his spaza-shop by armed men.
Four men entered Badruduin Mohammed’s shop in E-block and one of them produced a firearm.
Mohammed managed to flee the shop and the assailants escaped with R18 000 in cash and a large amount of cigarettes.
The Somalian had only been in the country for two months at the time of the incident. No one has been arrested in connection with the robbery.
* A man was killed in Swartberg Street, OR. Songile Mpethe died when he was stabbed, presumably during a failed robbery.
