AT the Stellenbosch International Chamber Music Festival from 6 to 15 July, performing artists, chamber music enthusiasts and students from around the globe, will gather for the ten day event presented by the Department of Music, Stellenbosch University.
This year’s festival boasts 23 concerts and nine international artists. Victor Yampolsky, a former guest conductor of the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, is conducting the Festival Symphony Orchestra, with renowned Dutch violinist Daniel Rowland, the soloist.
Another highlight is a performance of Little Red Riding Hood (based on texts by Roald Dahl) with Nataniël.
Tickets for the concerts are available from Computicket, a special festival pass with access to all events is R550 (R400 students and pensioners).
