German tour concert

THIRTEEN of the most accomplished learners and three selected educators of the Frank Pietersen Music Centre in Paarl have been invited to visit one of the most highly regarded music schools in Germany from 5 to 15 July.
To celebrate their visit, the FPMC will host the “German Tour Farewell Concert” where they will play their tour programme.
The event which features African works especially arranged for this
group of strings, winds and African percussion.
This prestigious concert will take place in the Paarl Town Hall on Wednesday 27 June at 19:30.
Tickets cost R40 (scholars R10).
On the German tour the group will be hosted by the Kreismusikschule Gebrüder Graun in the Elbe Elster Region of the Brandenburg Province to participate in the celebrations of their fiftieth anniversary.
They will also take part in the Music School Days of the Brandenburg Province.
There 2000 of the best musicians of the region’s music schools will meet in a music festival similar to the Klein Karoo National Arts Festival.
The group will also visit the Bundestag in Berlin and Dresden.
