VARIOUS local soccer clubs finished their first round matches in the Drakenstein Local Football Association’s Super league last weekend.
Eleven Ideas FC went head to head with FC Athletico in the White Stream (group) at the Boy Louw fields on Sunday.
The game was closely contested with both teams taking their opportunities to score in this 3-3 draw.
Khaya Mani and Sinethemba Matatata (2) scored the goals for Eleven Ideas.
With this, Eleven Ideas moved into the top position on the log of their group.
In other games Paarl City FC thrashed DC Rangers 5-3 on Saturday in the Red Stream-section.
Double V United beat African Jaguars 1-0 while Paarl Soccer Club came out on top against Mbekweni United in Mbekweni.
The derby between Cosmos and Sundowns ended with Cosmos coasting a 2-0 victory.
The winners of the Red and White Streams will face each other at the end of the season in the final.

* Women’s soccer results: Ladyhawk lost to Mighty Five Stars 3-1, Paarl Pirates lost to Sparkling Stars 4-2. Young Juventus and Paarl Ladies both had byes.
