Goal fest ends in draw

TEAMS in the Safa Boland Super league had another busy weekend as they kicked off the second round of the 2007 season.
On Saturday FC Athletico and Young Stars clashed in a goal fest which ended fittingly in a 5-5 draw.
FC LM went 2-0 up against Young Africans while Glenview Aces beat the current log leaders Eleven Ideas 2-0.
Young Ideas and Newton United went head to head in a tough encounter in Ceres. Although Newton went into half-time with a 2-1 lead, a lack of discipline gave Young Ideas the edge as they came away with a 4-2 victory.
In other matches Eleven Experience thrashed Swallows 5-0 while Franschhoek United beat Manchester United 2-0 and Saints FC sneaked a 1-0 win over Paarl Pirates.
On Sunday Vivendi Strikers slaughtered Eleven Ideas with a 7-3 victory while Paarl Soccer Club squashed Paarl Pirates 7-1.
* Other results: Glenview Aces beat Green Hills 2-0, FC LM beat Mountain Sweepers 2-0 and Newton United drew 4-4 against Swallows FC.
