Site to be auctioned

A LARGE property on the N1 opposite Simonsvlei winery is to be auctioned in Cape Town on 24 July.
The property of 12,7 hectares, located between the N1 and the Old Paarl Road, is currently zoned for agriculture, but was bought a number of years ago by Imperial Transport to house their Paarl truck depot.
These plans were halted by objections from conservationists after the route of the Van Wyks River was altered by the developer.
The property, which could possibly be developed for light industrial, tourism or residential purposes, will be auctioned by Auction Alliance as 12:00 on 24 July at the Hotel Vendome in Sea Point.
