String orchestra in Paarl

THE Bochabela string orchestra will perform in a free concert at the Frank Pietersen Music Centre in Paarl on Monday at 16:00.
They are currently playing at the Stellenbosch chamber music festival and this will be their last performance before returning to Bloemfontein.
This group is the direct result of the Mangaung String Programme, a development program initiated by the Free State Musicon in July 1998 under the directorship of Peter Guy.
Their average age is 15 with most of the children having studied the violin for six years or less.
They have performed on Morning Live, SABC2 and KykNet.
