VINEYARDS first team managed a well-deserved 19-6 victory over Correctional Services (Violets) after two tries in the dying minutes of the game at the weekend.
The score came on the board through tries by Abubakr Davids (lock) and Rory Southgate (wing).
Ricky Carelse (fly-half) added 9 points with the boot. Captain Adam Moerat (eighth man) led from the front as Vineyards’ big forwards steamrolled over their opponents.
The second team won 12-10. Vineyards face Raithby in Paarl tomorrow night at Dal Josaphat stadium.
