THE World Youth Choir is on South African soil and performs at the Endler Hall in Stellenbosch tomorrow at 20:00.
The host country is lucky enough to have quite a number of members in the choir. South Africa has nine members: Mandie de Villiers, Jana du Plooy, Itumeleng Pooe, Esté Gross, Tina Tshupane, Ferdinand Liebenberg, Jaco Allers, Khaile Olifant en André Oosthuizen.
The choir consists of 77 singers between the ages of 17 and 26. The foreign members come from different countries on all the continents.
Each year, during the month of July, the World Youth Choir convenes somewhere in the world to give shape to the harmonious fusion of the talents of a diverse group of people who represent many cultures, beliefs and languages.
