Security guards robbed of handguns

ROBBERS escaped with six handguns in Mbekweni, after holding up a security vehicle on Saturday evening, when a shift change was taking place at the Caltex garage.
During these shift changes the weapons of the guards of City Protection Services are removed to transfer them to the new shift members.
The driver of the vehicle had placed these weapons on the seat next to him. A group of men approached the vehicle and forced him out of it.
They took the weapons and fled the scene on foot.
An intensive search was launched by members of the police and the dog unit, but they were unable to find of the robbers.
