A CREATIVE Feast is on offer to primary and secondary schools in the ‘Mountains to Oceans Forestry Arbor Day Art Competition’ using the theme “Our Forests” as their point of departure.
From this magical experience young artists are asked to produce a painting, using a wide range of materials, which reflects some aspect of a forest.
“A prize package valued at R35 500 will act as an incentive for schools to become involved in this educational and creative process.
The competition is sponsored by Mountains to Oceans Forestry.
Closing date for entries is 21 September. Each entry must be accompanied by a short piece of creative writing based on the same theme.
The competition is split into two categories, primary and secondary/art school, so learners between the ages of 6 to 18 are invited to participate.
R35 500 is up for the taking by creative minds and hands and will be split into 12 prizes of R2 500. Winners will be featured in the MTO calendar.
