Shiraz Challenge star
2007-07-26
WITH several local and international accolades already to its credit, there can be no doubting the excellence of Bon Courage’s Inkará Shiraz 2005.
Now, with top honours and a 4˝ star rating in the 2007 Shiraz Challenge, its reputation as a wine of distinction is sealed. The Robertson bottling scooped first place ahead of the Cloof Crucible 2004, also rated 4˝ stars, in a taste-off that yielded no fewer than 13 wines awarded 4 stars.
The Boekenhoutskloof Porcupine Ridge Syrah 2005 and Boekenhoutskloof Syrah 2004 both rated 4 stars, as did the Fairview 2005 (Agter-Paarl) and Bovlei’s Centenary Collection 2005 (Wellington) with 3˝ stars.
Wine lovers will have the opportunity to taste a selection of the top-scoring Shiraz at public tastings to be held in Cape Town on 12 August. Bookings on 0860 100 205.
