Pinotage entries grow

THIS year’s Absa Pinotage Top 10 rings in the second decade of this increasingly successful competition.
Since the first competition in 1997, entries have grown from 49 to 130. Approximately 820 wines under 225 different trademarks were entered over these ten years.
The closing date for this year’s competition is 30 August.
The entry fee for members of the Pinotage Association is R300 per entry and for non-members, R800 per entry.
At least 900 litres of each entry must be bottled and available to the market by 31 October.
